Data retention and deletion controls

Last updated: 5 April 2026

PDFRender.io aims to retain data only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, operate the platform, maintain security, meet legal obligations, and support agreed workflows.

Important note

This page is intended as a public overview of our current approach and controls. It does not replace a signed agreement, customer-specific due diligence, or legal advice.

For detailed questions, security reviews, or enterprise documentation requests, contact hello@pdfrender.io.

1. General retention principles

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data involved, the selected delivery or storage method, account status, support history, and legal or accounting requirements.

2. Generated files

Where platform storage or CDN delivery is used, generated files may remain available according to the feature settings, retention behaviour, or product design in place for your plan and workflow.

Customers that want tighter storage control can use direct delivery or their own configured bucket where supported.

3. Account and billing records

Account, billing, and invoicing data may be retained for operational, accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal compliance purposes.

4. Logs and technical data

Operational logs, usage records, and troubleshooting data may be retained for service monitoring, abuse prevention, support, and security purposes for a limited period appropriate to those needs.

5. Deletion requests

Customers can contact us regarding deletion requests or account closure. The practical deletion scope may depend on legal obligations, backup cycles, billing requirements, and whether the relevant data is controlled by the customer through an external storage target.
